PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES GEL PRINTING TECHNIQUES
This course is designed for those who would like to take Gelli Printing to the next level. You will go beyond making collage papers with the aim to pull frame worthy fine art Mono-prints. So if you are looking for more in-depth guidance into creating layers and exploring new techniques on the Gelli plate, pulling beautifully multi-layered prints then this is the course for you!
The course will commence on ???. Detailed step-by-step videos will be released each week for you to work through at your own pace, accompanied by our weekly coaching session.
Some of you may already be familiar with my artwork and in-person workshops and will know that I have become slightly obsessed with Gelli plate printing. I began teaching Gelli plate printing 14 years ago and my opening line used to be..."If you would like a tree here and a gate there, Gelli printing is not for you - It's more of an experimental process". How wrong could I be! I have spent the last 14 years developing techniques and Pushing the Boundaries of how I can use the Gelli plate to pull either beautiful finished layered prints or by creating multiple layers on the Gelli plate to produce a one-pull-print.
This course goes beyond producing collage papers (however fabulous) to use during mixed media projects. We will work together to troubleshoot problems whether its...paper sticking to the plate when pulling a multi-layered print or clarifying drying times for each layer.
There are three modules, each exploring a different technique. By following a series of in-depth step-by-step tutorials, guiding you through each process allowing you to build confidence and refine your printing technique to pull one-of-a-kind finished Fine Art standard Gelli prints.
You will be encouraged to take part in our Weekly Creative Coaching Sessions. These sessions will take place on Zoom, where you will become part of a like minded community. This will be a safe space that you can share your work and an opportunity to ask questions, gain feedback and problem solve throughout the course.

Let me reassure you...I may be new to creating online courses but I am fully qualified and have been teaching for over 17 years both in the community and in the FE sector.
My advice would be to watch a few of my YouTube videos. I offer clear instruction, guiding you through a step by step process. I aim to adopt the same approach as I do with my in-person workshops. I will be keeping it real, so I can't guarantee perfection. One thing I can promise is no plinky-plonky music!
