During this workshop you will be guided step-by-step through the creative process of Lino Printing. You will learn how to create a simple design and explore the different methods of transferring your design onto the block. You will be given an overview of the different tools and begin carving by experimenting with mark-making techniques onto different types of blocks (Traditional Lino, Japanese Vinyl and Soft-cut) before choosing your preferred lino block to carve your final design.
You will learn how to ink and hand-print your lino block using a choice of colours and papers to produce a selection of finished prints to take home.
If you have a particular theme in mind, please bring along your own reference material - your own stetches/doodles, photographs or magazine images are a great place to start. Don't worry if you haven't got anything, there will be inspirational images to choose from as a starting point.
If you are messy (like me), please bring an apron.

All materials are included. Tea, coffee and biscuits will also be provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
Cancellation policy
Bookings are non refundable, If you tell us more than 14 days prior to the workshop date, you can transfer to an alternative date or another similar workshop.
If you need to cancel your workshop with less than 14 days notice, your payment is non-refundable or transferable. However, you are welcome to offer your place to someone else, just make sure to inform us of their name and contact details before the day.
