Join me for an introduction to Collagraph printing. We will cover each aspect of this versatile printing process from building your plate, inking techniques and printing your plate as it’s rolled through a press (you will also learn how to convert a die-cutting machine which can be bought cheaply and adapted for home use). We will begin by exploring the different materials that can be used as a base for your printing plate. You will then experiment with a variety of techniques to build your printing plate, exploring how you can use collage, scribing, mediums and pastes to create low relief textures which hold varying amounts of ink and print different tones. Your plate can depict an image e.g. landscape or be completely abstract.
During the afternoon you will focus on inking and printing your plate using a variety of colours.

Cancellation policy
Bookings are non refundable, If you tell us more than 14 days prior to the workshop date, you can transfer to an alternative date or another similar workshop.
If you need to cancel your workshop with less than 14 days notice, your payment is non-refundable or transferable. However, you are welcome to offer your place to someone else, just make sure to inform us of their name and contact details before the day.
